VG: Tell us about yourself

Victor: Obi Victor is my name, a Graduate intern (NYSC) at Verity Geosolutions Limited with a First class honours in Applied Geology from the Federal University of Technology, Akure. A young professional in the industry who seeks to proffer solutions to meeting the world’s energy demands and constantly seeks to improve by researches and development.

A member of many professional associations which includes, the Nigerian Association of petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), a founding member of the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE, local chapter Nigeria), Australian Institute of Geoscientists, Nigerian Mining and Geoscience Society amongst others.

VG: What would you say was a major highlight of the just concluded NAPE conference/exhibition and how has it inspired you?

Victor: My major highlight was the short course I took (A practical approach to Fault seal analysis). This has expanded my knowledge and still gives me the PUSH to know more coupled with the wealth of knowledge I garnered at technical meetings. Also, I was privileged to partake in a quiz competition at the Newcross exhibition stand winning the prize.

VG: How would you describe your experience so far as an intern with veritygeo solutions?

Victor: It’s been an awesome experience with Veritygeo. The company has taught and equipped me to practically handle projects. Also, it has exposed me to the values of the job. It’s fun when you handle real projects that are demanding and it turns out successful.

VG: What do you like most about the company?

Victor: Efficiency and Productivity, safe working environment, good training and development. Most of all, for its veracity.

VG: What are your thoughts on being the winner of the quiz competition?

Victor: I am elated and thankful to Verity Geosolutions Limited for their support towards the conference and for the wealth of knowledge I earned which qualified me for the prize.

VG: Where do you see yourself five years from now?

Victor: I see myself conquering grounds and breaking world records most especially as it concerns the energy industry.

VG: Tell us about yourself

Kitan: My name is Bamidele Oluwakitan Esther, 500 level student, Geoscience Department, University of Lagos. I am the first child of three and I am 21 years old.

VG: What would you say was a major highlight of the just concluded NAPE conference/exhibition and how has it inspired you?

Kitan: The major highlight is the quiz. I participated well and I emerged as the winner. I was inspired by the great people that were around for the NAPE conference and I met a lot of great people.

VG: How would you describe your experience so far as an intern with veritygeo solutions?

Kitan: Yaay!! My favourite question (smiles). Veritygeo solutions is one of the best things this year gave to me. I could not have asked God for a better family. I love each and everyone here. It has been about love filled with knowledge so far.

VG: What do you like most about the company?

Kitan: What I love is the fact that they do not discriminate and they are always ready to help in any capacity. They are very warm.

VG: What are your thoughts on being the winner of the quiz competition?

Kitan: My thoughts? Well it all revolves around God, to be honest. I am very grateful to Veritygeo Solutions because every question I answered correctly, I learnt them here.

VG: Where do you see yourself five years from now?

Kitan: I want to be a very successful career woman working as a great Geoscientist. Let God do his thing.
